Shoulders are the body part of the summer (yes again, think Rihanna in ‘Wild Thought’) and I have no complaints. This is a trend that is for everyone and adds the perfect amount of flair to even the most basic outfits. This striped off the shoulder bodysuit became an instant favorite of mine after purchasing it for my trip to Italy (see those pictures here). As I mentioned in my staple dresses post, I treat stripes as a neutral color. Thus, I pair this bodysuit with any and everything. I wear it with jeans, shorts, and skirts. It has become my go-to top for the summer. I pack it on every trip, including my latest trip to visit my big sister for Mother’s Day weekend.
For a pop of color, I added a pair of gorgeous orange strappy sandals I purchased for under $30! Bright colors are big this summer (read about that here) so having a pair of shoes in a nice, bold hue effortlessly takes an everyday outfit up a notch.
I styled the top with my favorite pair of Zara jeans. When Zara first opened their store in the US, I found the fit of their jeans to be problematic in that they didn’t fit a variety of body types, mine included. They were strictly European cut which meant narrow fit through the hips and thighs. I recently have been giving them another try and I am pleased to see the improved fit of their denim. I probably wear these jeans more than any other pair that I own.
This beautiful transparent bucket bag was another steal from Shein that I have been wearing nonstop. It cost exactly $11 and I get compliments on it everywhere I go!
I LOVE these earrings and they come with a great story. My close co-worker started selling Paparazzi jewelry, as many women have recently. I didn’t pay it much attention thinking it was another pyramid scheme, but after hopping on the phone with her to discuss her experience, I had a complete change of heart. She spoke about how joining the Jewelry business allowed her to teach her son about entrepreneurship and provided her with supplemental income. I was happy to support and not disappointed when I did. These earrings are perfect: big, gold, and not heavy on my ears! I’ve linked her site below.
